Letters I-IV: Running Down the Devil

I chased after the monster I had made. I boarded the ship so i had a better chance of caching up to the monster. I told Captain Robert Walton about how i had made this monster/creature and that i was chasing him. I told him what was happening so i had a better chance to board the ship and get a ride with them. I went to the Arctic because i was following my monster i had created. I didn't know what my creature was capable of or what he was going to do or if he was going to hurt someone. I had to tell the Captain about how my creature was dead and how i brought it back to life.Walton said "You seek for knowledge and wisdom, as I once did; and I ardently hope that the gratification of your wishes may not be a serpent to sting you, as mine has been.” I think he is meaning this towards Victor and how he is chasing after this creature that he made and that he needs to seek for his knowledge. There's a parallel between man and monster and that the 2 may not be as different as they seem.
